Lamp crush

I have now gotten an incurable lamp crush. Again. I have always wanted the Panthella lamp in some form, ever since my last home I think, and recently Louis Poulsen launched an mini version of it, which I think could be a good compromise when it comes to space and jusitfying still another lamp...White is that nice safe colour, but I think the black one is an upcoming favourite, too!

I also recently saw the NJP wall lamp on Elisabeth Heier's blog and I think it is so cute! I actually have no wall lamp, as I do not like to fix things to a specific spot, but this time I changed my mind. Love it!

My lamp crushes either get worse when I make these collages or mentions on the blog or then the creation of a mood board just eases my mind. Let's see how it goes...;)

New favourite

So delighted at my new lamp with the lampstand in brass. It is even more beautiful when turned on.

PS. Never mind the Christmas lights reflecting in the frame. I have removed them already. :-)

New lamp

Hi from the blog shadow! I did not at all plan to be away this long, but suddenly the twenty-four hours were not quite enough for me and I had no choice. New work load and tasks, some trips and long days with tiredness in the evenings. On top of this it has been my birthday and I have fixed a bit for some small celebrations coming up. Besides this my bike has gotten stolen, which has, until now, been quite a rare thing in our little, safe town. So everything has been a mess at all fronts, but today I managed to catch up a bit with everything that has piled up lately. The home is super clean and all post-it notes have been gone through.

I have so missed sitting down at the computer, blogging, surfing around, reading newspapers and blogs. I think that is my kind of revival to cope with my everyday life otherwise. I do not like a hectic life style and need those slow moments in-between.

I tried to take some new photos with my new system camera, but, gosh, those settings! I need to practise more. Anyway no time for that now so here you can see some of my birthday gifts. A loveable, black Gubi lamp and a new book. I planned to have the lamp on my desk, but as the shade was quite low I thought it suits the bedside table better, to direct the light only on my book pages when reading, without lightening up the whole room.

Happy weekend!

Christmas heart by Le Klint

It is November already and we are going with rapid speed towards Christmas and the decorations. I got to think about Le Klint's window decoration, the white heart. Supernice and I think it would look very good in combination with or in contrast to the traditional white paper stars. The hearts are available in different sizes and folded in the same material as Le Klint's other famous lampshades.

And why not? You can also use it on special days like birthdays, St. Valentine's Day and weddings. When buying a heart you also contribute to the Love & light project, which support different charitable purposes every year. A hearty thought.

The hearts remind me of those simple red and white or red and green paper hearts that you folded as a kid. Maybe these new ones are just an ennobled and more exclusive variant of those? Hmm. Gave me another old-time idea that I probably would need to suggest for Le Klint...

Lamp love

Tom Dixon launches newcomers to the Beat collection in April.
Table and floor lamps.

Also the pedants will get a new shade - grey with silver plate inside.

I see a new hot trend coming... What do you say?
The black newcomers spoke to my heart.

The lights will be shown at this year's Salone Internazionale del Mobile
trade fair in Milan from 8 to 13th April.
