Hello August

Hello August! My vacation is now running to an end (my last day!) and as the weather is a bit cooler and cloudy today I can with good conscience sit inside and blog. I have missed it! It has just been too hot inside my apartment so I decided to pause and breathe out and have not opened the computer very often. I picked a few autumn favourites for you today that are either on my mind or I have already bought. Focus is on updating the wardrobe, organizing and cosy autumn evenings!

I am renewing my wardrobe and trying to sort all my clothes nicely. According to what I use most and what I can use and what I definitely not use... What I always seem to be lacking, though, are hangers! I found some decent ones in copper, black and gold to a good price at Clas Ohlson. They turned out to be both good and nice-looking so I will need to buy some more...

A new measuring set would not be bad, in stainless steel. This one is from Lagerhaus.

I need new little, cute baskets for keys, chargers or necklaces!

I bought a new black and white boat neck top yesterday. Perfect with jeans!

I like those new ballerinas with a higher cutting. These ones in old rose from H&M.

I am so fond of this Italian Gatto lamp. The bigger size was featured on the cover of Elle Decoration Sweden lately and my wish list got updated in that same moment.

I need a new blanket for those sofa moments during the dark autumn. Maybe a knitted one?

Cute little bowl in stoneware from H&M.

 Happy Sunday!

Outdoors

I know it is quite late for outdoor inspiration, but here we go. I was kind of uninspired this summer with my balcony due to the bad weather (the summer, which never came), but this is my mental inspiration picture, which I have had in my head...

Autumn wish list

Maybe you have noticed that the text and pictures have been jumping back and forth inside here. I have struggled for a while with a new layout and finally I think--***^^ I am ready! I am much more content with one sidebar than two and now there will also be bigger pictures, which I hope you like!

Yesterday I was out in the archipelago with my sister and friends and we had one of those really hot, sunny summer days that have been so rare this summer. I forgot both sunglasses and sun lotion, which was a big minus minus. Today it is back to normal again... Some kind of autumn sense in the air and I felt like doing a small autumn collage with nice things on my mind!

1. This sky picture is quite expensive, but I save it as a mental memory. I would like to photograph clouds at the shore, just before a real thunderstorm!

2. Kinfolk publishes an interior book this autumn. It will probably be interesting and has a beautiful cover!

3. I am thinking of the to be or not to be of a windowsill in my living room. I picture a high fig tree on it that would frame my window a bit.

4.  I love the Gräshoppa lamp by Gubi. I would love to have it on my desk during dark autumn evenings.

5. A picture with real autumn mood. In fact, I like rain clouds!

6. Flared jeans are popping up in the stores everywhere. An autumn-must?

7. Beautiful brown autumn shoes!

8. I would like to have this lamp close to some wooden furniture (the colour mix would look so good). I can't get enough of the bright colours on it!

9. I admire this tray with two layers. Perfect for my fruit cravings. My fruit bowls are too full and the piles tend to drop...

December wishes

Wondering here what to wish for Christmas...
What is on your wish list?

I made collage with beautiful things that have caught my eyes lately. All my favourites, but especially the poster.

The strange thing by making collages is that you want the things even more than before making the collage...

Cut glasses for smoothies and coffee | Scent candle in blue | Candleholder for the wall | Brilliant boxes | Marble box | Take a breath poster

October mood

I went nuts when I saw the flowery bomber jacket in a TV- interview today with Izabella Scorupco. A must-have! I am going straight to KappAhl tomorrow after work. Soo stylish!

I also collected some other details for the autumn decoration. Patterns in all forms and directions, dark glass, dark wood, dark colours, concrete and brass.

Bomber jacket | Kappahl
Dark knobs | Menu
Blue candle in the coulour "rain" | Iittala
Flowered cushion | GP & J Baker with Svenskt Tenn
Brass apple | Peroba

Christmas decorations

Stilleben shop has opened a new web shop and they have a lot of cute things for your Christmas tree.  Take a look at the nice and cosy Christmas decorations (2, 4-6)! Wooden hearts and owls, stars and funguses.

There are also some new Christmas items in Iittala's webshop. I picked the  frosty lantern and stylish glass balls as my favourites (1,3). The glass balls belong to Iittala's new series "Sarjaton".  I like the pattern looking like a forest.

Wintry shopping list

Some shopping tips for cold winter evenings. The new candlestick by Georg Jensen is just absolutely gorgeous, isn't it?

The knitting trend also influences me somehow. Hmm, I just have to think if there is any relative who could start knitting something for me... I have no patience for it, so that's out of the question.

I also found this Greenlandic woman cushion at By Nord's website. The hood just makes it look so cosy!

During the wekeend I have decided to start planning Christmas gifts. At least it is a good ambition. I don't like to be in the last minute. But it is easier said than done.

1 Knitted cushion H&M Home
2 Candlestick Merry Gallery Pascale
3 Tea Lagerhaus
4 Greenlandic woman cushion By Nord
5 Georg Jensen candlestick Ribbons
6 Braided snow white cushion By Nord
